It seems like family game night has taken a permanent back seat to video games, dvd’s, cable, and entertainment outside the home… but, all of these things are usually quite costly… and the economy is currently going through some major struggles… so, maybe, just maybe family game night will make a comback… perhaps families will see the value in just getting the family together and not spending any money by playing cards together or an old board game ?

I really think that educational games are one of the most important thing that children should be doing…
We need to make sure that kids enjoy learning… and educational games are a great way of doing this.

This is actually no game… this is reality people… if you or someone you know is hit with disaster, what are you going to do ? If your home was flooded, what would you do ? Yes, I know this is off topic, but, it seemed important… i was told recently, go to 24 HOUR Fire Water Damage - they (Adjusters Reference Manual) can give them a list of good Water Out company’s that should be able to respond night or day… and they should be able to help them with their problem…

Regular launches of new, increasingly expensive models can be annoying, especially when all you want is a cheap cellular phone; recently their has been a surprising amount of interest from people looking for them. Cellular phones have come along way and evolved into an amazing piece of equipment; ownership of these devices is global and has changed the way we communicate.
Business executives can be more effective using a multi-functional version and now almost every teenager has one. Gone are the days when they were toys to show off because they have now become a necessity. Although the basic cell phone is not as common as it once was it is still possible to buy them.
If you are one of those who are lucky and that you can afford high-tech model, then that is good for you; however, if you need, but cannot afford something high-tech, then you may need to consider a cheap cellular phone. Provided you know that your phone will only carry out basic tasks there won’t be anything to complain about. It’s like buying a huge top-of-the-range SUV that only gets used once a year; if you only need a phone that makes and receives calls a basic model will be enough.
Basic facilities may be standard on cheap cellular phones but they will almost certainly be better equipped than a top-range model of five years ago, such is the speed of technological advancement. I suppose if making calls is secondary to the reason you have a cell phone then signal reception won’t matter but it will if the only reason for the phone is to make and receive calls.
Even text messaging or SMS has improved but don’t expect you basic model to have these functions even though it will be able to send and receive text messages. Still even the most basic model phones will have a good text messaging facility by early model standards.
However, the likes of sending and receiving emails may not be possible and when you think about it how often would you use it anyway? As a basic cheap cellular phone may not have this ability so if it is something you really need, you may have to re-think what type of phone you require.
Another option available to you is if you can find a reasonable monthly cell phone plan, then you may not need to look for a cheap model at all. Most network companies have these promotions on cell phone plans from time to time so it will be worth considering if you would prefer a better phone. This could be a good thing for you and it means all that searching and researching won’t have to be carried out.
It doesn’t matter what you intend to purchase, the internet is a great place to research, compare and find what you are looking for plus you will usually find whatever you want within the budget you set for yourself.

I recently sat down for whatever reason and started to work on the “expert” crossword puzzle in the Sunday edition of my local newspaper. I do not know why I did this as I have not worked a puzzle in many years, but I did.
It started out easy enough and I was actually enjoying the game. I guess you enjoy something when you are having easy success. After filling in the “easy” answers I actually knew, the hard work started. Needless to say after a couple hours I was getting frustrated. It even turned into a mission to finish the puzzle.
Long story short, I gave up after 5 hours of working the puzzle on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. After I calmed down, I decided I would just stick to the “easy” crossword puzzles.
I have learned my limitations and will never try to fool myself again into thinking I can solve the “expert” puzzles.

Everyone knows that I am a strong advocate for education children in financial matters, and by doing so, creating a foundation of financial knowledge that a child can build on for their entire life…
So, now I am calling on game makers to produce games for children that are fun, and specifically assist children on the subject of personal finance. These games should address budgeting, credit, mortgages, and car loans. They should hit on saving, and retirement, and create an environment where children are talking about these subjects, and thinking about them at as early an age as possible.

The only problem I have with Tic Tac Toe is how the game basically only has two possible outcomes:
The first outcome is a loss by whichever player allows the other player to select the center square for move number one and then does not choose a corner square for his first move. From that point on, the game is lost to the player that chose the center square.
The Second outcome is always a catsgame if the above does not happen in moves one and two…
I just wish that there were some other ways of beating an opponent in this very simple game.

Checkers is a great board game that teaches strategy and almost anyone can learn to play in just a few minutes. Even children can learn to play checkers in just a few games and it teaches them how to critically think and strategize.
The game requires nothing more than a checkered board and 2 sets of different colored playing pieces. You can make your own checkerboard and sets of playing pieces if necessary. Luckily you can buy a checkers game for just a few dollars anywhere toys and games are sold
If you have kids, do them a favor and get them a checkers game. It will only improve their thinking skills and make them better for it

Family Game Night is a great way to bring a family together. Turn the tv off, maybe turn on some music… and play cards… or play monopoly or some other board game…
Just get the whole family together, and talk and have fun and enjoy each other without the distraction of tv. TV is just a brain drain and is not a good way to bring the family together.
Family Game Nights is a great idea and a great way to unite a family.

Sudoku is my favorite brain exercise. I mean what other game can make you break your #2 pencil and throw the pieces across the room ?
Never have I played such a game that turns out not to be a game. It is more of an exercise in hurting yourself
As you can tell I do not like the sudoku puzzles
